in Mihota Town during the term from August to October every year.

Deko-Yashiki is well known throughout the country for its folk crafts.
5 craft making houses have been keeping the tradition alive for
hundreds of years. They have been making Hariko dolls, Hariko masks
and Miharugoma from generation to generation. The wooden patterns
have been designated as important cultural assets by the prefectural
government.

Nastled along gentle mountain-slopes, Ishimushiro Ranch is a facility
with 20 hectare.
There is a petting zoo filled with farm animals as well as a facility
for horse riding. You can enjoy riding on mountain bikes or playing
"target bird golf". In addition, the rich taste of freshly
made-milk, ice cream and barbecue are very popular among many families.

It is 400 years since the mine was opened out. The sparkle created
by the miracle and roman of nature is still resting inside the mine.
It is "A Golden Time Capsule". 28 tons of gold and 280
tons of silver were output in all here. You can enjoy riding in
a lorry and see the tunnel and the mining traces. (Extended tunnel
for sightseeing is 800 m in length and the time for sightseeing
is 40 to 60 minutes.)

On the 20th to 24th floor of "Big I" that was opened
in March 2001 at the western gate of JR Koriyama Station as a
redevelopment building of Koriyama Station West Gate, "Koriyama
City Science Hall with heartstrings" (Space Park) is situated.
The space theaters on the 23rd and 24th floors are theaters holding
a sloping dome with a diameter of 23m and 234 seats and providing
injection of the newest Planetarium and a show of video program
of the circumference of the whole sky. In addition, you can have
a teleconference with observatories and space development organizations
throughout Japan as well as Hawaii Observation Station of National
Astronomical Observatory with Subaru telescope to communicate
with stars and space through this facility. You will have a fine
view of towns below and mountains in distance from the viewing
lobby at the 22nd floor of 96 m high.
