This cherry tree is a city-designated natural monument, and a drooping cherry tree of 16m tall and 400 years of age called a daughter of Miharu Waterfall Cherry Tree. Its shapely branches and bright red flowers are very popular among people. Visitors from inside and outside of Fukushima Prefecture are increasing year after year. A Jizo shrine is situated under this tree, and people have prayed for their babies to avoid the short life and the young death. Many drooping cherry trees including the Jizo Cherry Tree are scattered throughout Nakata Town. The Kaiseizan Park in the center of Koriyama City has Rose Garden ringed by fences. 440 kinds and 810 roses broom focusing on roses donated by Mr. Eiichi Endo of Fukazawa in Koriyama City in 1971.
