In Ryokusuien (about 30,000 tsubo or 100 square kilometers), you
can enjoy an abundance of nature, basking in the forest, bird watching,
camping, barbecue, potato soup cooking, playing with water in the
Gohyaku River and communication in the lawn square. You can eat
edible wild plants, tempra of akahara fish and broiled trout with
salt at the rest house.

This flower park of 600 tsubo or 20 square kilometers is open for
public from May to July when German irises, hemeroirises and irises
are in full broom. You can enjoy original figures of flowers in
nature. This size of park is best suitable for your short walking.

| Red Drooping Jizo
Cherry Tree |

This cherry tree is a city-designated natural monument, and a drooping
cherry tree of 16m tall and 400 years of age called a daughter of
Miharu Waterfall Cherry Tree. Its shapely branches and bright red
flowers are very popular among people. Visitors from inside and
outside of Fukushima Prefecture are increasing year after year.
A Jizo shrine is situated under this tree, and people have prayed
for their babies to avoid the short life and the young death. Many
drooping cherry trees including the Jizo Cherry Tree are scattered
throughout Nakata Town. Many people visit this cherry tree as a
"Route for appreciating cherry blossoms" including Miharu
Takizakura, or Waterfall Cherry Tree.

| Rose Garden in the
Kaiseizan Park |

The Kaiseizan Park in the center of Koriyama City has Rose Garden
ringed by fences. 440 kinds and 810 roses broom focusing on roses
donated by Mr. Eiichi Endo of Fukazawa in Koriyama City in 1971.
This garden is open for public in June and October whey they are
in full broom. There is no bump here, so wheelcheerers can feel
free to visit and appreciate the flowers.
